Dear Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks Board of Directors and Team,

From the bottom of our hearts, Ashley and I want to express our deepest gratitude for the kindness, generosity, and unwavering support you have provided us during this incredibly challenging time. When we received Ashley’s diagnosis, our world was turned upside down, and the emotional and financial burdens felt overwhelming. But in the midst of that storm, you were there—offering not only financial assistance but also hope, compassion, and a sense of relief that words can hardly capture.

Your generosity has allowed us to focus on what truly matters: Ashley’s health and healing. Whether it was helping with everyday expenses, providing resources, or simply being a source of encouragement, your support has been a beacon of light in a very difficult journey. Knowing that there are people like you—who dedicate their time and energy to lifting up families like ours—reminds us that we are not alone.

Breast cancer is an incredibly tough battle, but because of you, we have been able to face it with more strength, resilience, and peace of mind. Your kindness has made a difference in our lives in ways we will never forget, and we will forever be grateful for the love and care you have shown our family.

Thank you for all that you do, not just for us, but for so many others who find themselves walking this path. Your work is truly life-changing, and we will always be thankful for the impact you’ve had on our lives. Thank you for being by our side as we continue this journey.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Austin, Ashley, Bea, and DJ Dinwiddie

Dear Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks,

My name is Rachel Albin, and I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support my family and I have received from your organization. The diagnosis of breast cancer came as a shock, arriving during a time of significant change for our family. I cannot thank you enough for the guidance, resources, and unwavering support you provided from the very moment I heard those life-altering words: “You have breast cancer, and the next few months are going to be hard.”

Your kindness and the teamwork of your organization with local providers and other organizations that help others have been a beacon of hope during this challenging journey. Losing my hair was one of the most traumatic moments, but receiving the Hope box on the very day it began to fall was a small miracle. It reminded me that I was not alone. Your thoughtfulness extended to my children as well—your generosity helped us provide Christmas presents for our daughters and eased the financial burden during an incredibly difficult time.

As a family of four, with a high school senior and a seventh grader, we were already navigating big changes throughout the year, the biggest being my husband leaving his traveling construction job after 13 years to be home with us. Little did we know what was headed our way. After my routine mammogram in September 2024, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, requiring five months of chemotherapy before surgery. The road has been tough, but your support has made it bearable.

I am forever grateful for your dedication to helping those with breast cancer and for spreading awareness about the importance of early detection. Because of your work, I have made it my mission to encourage others to get mammograms—so far, I’ve convinced 15 women to take that step. I will continue to share what I have learned and tell others how important being proactive really is.

Thank you for being a lifeline during one of the hardest chapters of my life. Your kindness has made a profound difference, and I will always carry your generosity in my heart. If I can be of service in any way, please let me know!

Sincerest Gratitude,

Rachel Albin
