Kristi embodies beauty on the inside and out. Kristi is a 3-year breast cancer survivor and has put her energy in getting well and helping  her "pink sisters." Her passion has translated to using her time to change the lives of others and fundraising for many local and national breast cancer organizations. In 2008 only six months after bilateral mastectomies, she ran in her first race, the inaugueral Race 4 Hope, in Joplin, MO. This first race has led to not only a greater passion to raise funds and awareness, but also a love for running. The following year Kristi went on to form a 35 person team called "The Positive Side Effects" and has worked tirelessly to make this race a success. Recently, Kristi has been a part of promoting the start of Surviving Together With Hope Support Group. Her heart is deeply invested with the ladies of this group. She takes time with every person she encounters who is dealing with breast cancer to encourage and share from her own experience. She spends countless hours with others providing hope, support, and reassurance. It is her committment and care for others in addition to her beauty that make her 417-Land's Most Beautiful Woman.
